Burglary Alert - Charfield Close, Badger Farm, Winchester - 22/08/2025 to 24/08/2025 - Incident 44250383439

Good morning Winchester South residents

Over the weekend, we have been made aware of an attempted burglary on Charfield Close, Badger Farm that occurred between the evening of Friday 22nd August and the afternoon of Sunday 24th August. 

Fortunately entry into the property was not made by the suspect/s. The attempted point of entry has been confirmed as the french door at the rear of the property. 

At approximately 01:30 on the morning of Saturday 23rd August, a witness recalls seeing two males in dark clothing loitering on Charfield Close. Was this you, or do you know who it was? 

Please contact Hampshire Police on 101 with reference number 44250383439 if you have any information or footage that may assist us in our investigation. 

I am using this message for both witnesses and as a reminder to all residents about my target hardening advice. 

Simple visual deterrents including french door locks, doorbell/security cameras and interior timers are perfect for ensuring your property is not an easy target.
